Michael Jordan’s Salary

Scroll to the bottom of this page, and you’ll see that Michael Jordan made over $26,000,000 more in 1996-1997 than he did in 1995-1996. I think this is absurd. I know he was a great player, but that’s a HUGE jump all at once! Did he all of a sudden become that much better, or that much more deserving of a huge salary?

Bulls-Celtics in the N.B.A. Playoffs

I was shocked that the Bulls beat Boston today.  I knew that with KG being out, the Celtics would be a bit of a different team, however, I didn’t forecast them having much trouble with the Bulls. I think it would have been a much different game if Ray Allen had been able to shoot the basketball better. The boxscore says that he was 1-12. Losing by two, it’s obvious that if he would have shot better, Doc Rivers and his ballclub would be up 1-0 in the series. It sounds like Derrick Rose had a great game for the Bulls. I don’t watch many games on television, since I like watching the stats updates on the internet, but it sounds like Rose was amazing! I think that the benches of both teams need to step it up a bit.
