My buddy, Duke Basketball Freshman Miles Plumlee!!!
Those of you who know me…. you know that I love Duke University Men’s Basketball, and Duke University as a whole, with a passion!
My next door neighbor before I moved to my current address, and before he went to the school that he lead to two consecutive state titles in North Carolina, was Duke University freshman Miles Plumlee! He is down at Duke now, about ready to start college, and I’m totally excited!
Check out this site! This is the photo gallery on Duke’s fan site, and specifically, a collection of photos of Miles and various Duke people!
What’s really cool is that Miles’ brother, rising senior at Christ School in North Carolina, Mason, has also committed to Duke, making a verbal commitment last winter. Mason will team with younger brother Marshall, as well as teammate Dee Giger, who will play for former Duke player and coach Tommy Amaker at Harvard.
While I know that the Christ School Greenies will miss the leadership of Miles, they still have a ton of talent, and I know that Mason, Marshall, and Dee will step up and fill the void left by Miles’ graduation! I’m predicting another state title for the Greenies in 2008-2009! You read that here, folks, and IT WILL HAPPEN! And I’m hoping Miles and the Duke guys win a national championship too!
Oh, and I missed another D-1 guy, Lakeem Jackson. Lakeem will be playing his college ball for Darrin Horn at the University of South Carolina!
